In NOLA, quick notes Saturday, May 13 2006

Just some quick notes so y'all know I'm okay:

- Tarped a roof on Thursday
- Not many old timers left (Jamey, John, Dimitri)
- Most of my old friends are gone but I'm making new ones
- Brought all the donations around to House of Excellence and distro
- Went out drinking with Germ and his gutterpunk friends last night, found Chris
- Am moving into Chris' place until he moves on Wednesday
- St. Mary's is a breeding ground for gossip and who knows what is going on?
- Crack ruins lives
- The showers at St. Mary's suck
- I think I may want to work at distro for awhile
- I haven't gutted a house yet
- Some nice girl gave me a free camera, baby wipes, and bugspray
- I love people

Before I leave update. Tuesday, May 9 2006

- Leaving tomorrow/early Thursday, not sure how yet, bus I suppose
- Show went well, not only broke even, raised $$$
- Flyer can be seen here
- Lots of donations
- Box of condoms to bring from Luke
- Many goodbyes yesterday (Michelle, Deanna, Daniel)- more to come tonight
- Drama on CG board, slightly nervous

Staples donates. Tuesday, May 2 2006

Last night I went to Staples, where the manager (Pierre) gave me a $25 gift certificate to buy donations with. I ended up getting the following things:

- 100 file folders
- a 200 page notebook
- 5 Sharpies
- a holepuncher
- 12 padded envelopes

I'm donating these things to either the women's centre or the House of Excellence. Thanks Staples!
