I went to this last night at Tulane. It was pretty cool. I don't really feel like writing about it but it was a lot of fun. Here is more information:

WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN?

Eve Ensler (vday.org) will interview Charmaine Neville, Charmaine Marchand and Dr. Ruth Berggren (Charity Hospital) about their experiences during and since Hurricane Katrina.

Then, in a address to rally Katrina Warriors everywhere, Ensler will discuss how our community’s issues are linked to those of women around the world, and share success stories about educational, protective, and legislative endeavors that can empower women to create and thrive rather than just survive to deal with more violence and atrocities.
Throughout the evening, we will enjoy the music of Joan Ann Brown and the New Orleans Gospel Singers.
Funds raised by this Katrina Warriors event will benefit NORAA (New Orleans Regional Alliance Against Abuse) member organizations. As of May 15, 2006, NORAA is Metropolitan Battered Women's Program, S.A.R.A.'s Center (Sexual Assault Response Assistance Center), St. Tammany Children's Advocacy Center, and Crescent House.
